Stewartsville Woman seriously injured in Crash with Semi Truck

Edith Smith of Stewartsville Missouri is in serious condition after an accident in Caldwell County.  Edith Smith, age 85 was operating her 2005 Cadillac on Southbound Interstate 35 just outside of Cameron Missouri when the accident happened.  According to the Missouri Highway Patrol and investigating officer Trooper J.M. Cross, the accident occurred on June 26, 2013 at approximately 5:20 a.m..  The investigation reveals that Randall Wooden of Parkville, MO feel asleep at the wheel of his 2009 Kenworth Tractor Trailer, and rear ended Ms. Smith.  The impact of the truck forced her off the highway where she struck a tree.  The accident resulted in Ms. Smith being transported to the Liberty Hospital.
