Minnesota Man seriously injured after striking Cow in Roadway

A 24 year old Minnesota man was seriously injured in a Harrison County Missouri accident.  According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, and its investigating officer B.R. Hilliard, the victim of the accident Tyler Purtilo of South Haven was driving his 1998 Ford Contour on northbound interstate 35 when he made contact with a cow in the roadway. The contact caused his 1998 ford to leave the right side of the roadway and come to rest facing north.  Mr. Purtilo was seriously injured and was first transported by ambulance to Harrison County Community Hospital and then later to KU Med via life flight.  The investigation did not produce the owner of the Cow.
