Big Truck accident in Cass County seriously injures Raymore Man

Richard Schien, of Raymore MO, was seriously injured in a strange accident in Cass County just off Holmes road. The accident occurred on August 5, 2013 at approximately 7:55 in the morning.  According to the Missouri Highway Patrol and the investigating officer Trooper G. B. Wright, Mr. Schien was standing in front of a 1995 Ford L8000 dump truck when it suddenly rolled forward and struck him.  It is unknown at this time what caused the truck to suddenly move forward.  Mr. Schien was transported to Overland Park Regional via the Belton EMS, and is listed as in serious condition.  The Missouri highway patrol police report is below and available for 30 days on this website.
