Hit and Run accident in Johnson County leaves man and daughter seriously injured

Terry Carl and Courtney Carl of Lenexa, Kansas were the victims of a hit and run accident in Johnson County on January 31, 2013.  As reported by the Kansas Highway Patrol the father daughter duo were in a 2006 Toyota Tundra traveling South on Interstate 435 at the point where Shawnee Mission Parkway intersects with I435.  At this point a car that was maroon in color struck the right side of the Tundra.  The unexpected impact was someone merging onto the highway from Shawnee Mission Parkway.  The impact caused the 2006 Tundra to overturn and roll several times on the highway, coming to rest on its top in the right hand ditch.  The second vehicle then fled the scene.

 At this time it is unknown where the other car went or who was operating the car.
