Young women and child are injured in Semi-Truck accident outside of Andover

Brittany Veatch of Andover, Kansas and another young girl were injured in a Semi-Truck accident at the intersection of U-54 and 159th in Andover Kansas.  The accident occurred on July 1, 2013 at approximately 3:15 in the afternoon.  According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the accident was caused by Rickey Wilson age 26 of Eureka, Kansas.  The accident occurred when Mr. Wilson was driving a 2006 Freightliner Truck and could not come to a stop in time at a red light. The semi truck broadsided a 1999 Mercury Tracer driven by Ms. Veatch.  Ricky Wilson was not injured, however, both girls were seriously injured.  Hopefully the young ladies will make a full recovery.
