Josh Vaughan age 34, of Neosho Missouri was seriously injured and Marguerite Ward was killed in
a Newton County car accident.
According to Trooper Josey Long of the Missouri Highway Patrol on
December 19,
2012 at approximately 5:40 pm on Business loop 49 just 4 miles south of Joplin the
accident occurred. The
Police report states that the accident occurred as a vehicle driven by Josh Vaughan, pulled out to pass another vehicle and hit a vehicle operated by Marguerite Ward head-on. The reasons as to why Josh Vaughan attempted to pass at that particular time are still unknown. Marguerite Ward was transported to Freeman West Hospital but they were unable to save her and she was pronounced dead at 6:45 pm.Police Report
